We were invited along to Steve’s newly purchased property, explaining that the owners before had a home cinema previously. We immediately noticed that the speakers installed are set for a 7.1 surround sound system and that there had been a TV installed and not a projector. We were quick to think of what we could do to help him achieve his dream of having his own home cinema sanctuary.

Firstly, we got to work removing the previous speakers (in a 7.1 surround sound) and begin repositioning the audio cables to a more symmetrical position along the front and rears. We also removed the side speaker cables and redirected them into the ceiling from the room above for Dolby ATMOS instead.

For visual and control from the cupboard, we needed to upgrade the previous HDMI and network cables from underneath the house to the TV. Which involved many cobwebs and spiders. Once we’d chased in our cables and patched up we came back the next day and sanded down our filled chased for the decorator and installed our wall brackets for the speakers and the TV.

Once it had been decorated and fitted with a super soft carpet, we began fitting 3 Gallo Acoustic A’Diva’s (in black) with the centre speaker being installed above the TV. For the rears we fitted 2 Gallo Acoustic Micro SE’s (in black). going with 2 Monitor Audio CS 160’s for Dolby ATMOS and for the subwoofer we chose a Bowers & Wilkins ASW610 which sounded fantastic. For amplification we went with Marantz SR5015.Once all the audio was done, we installed an 85″ Samsung 4k Smart TV and began programming the Control4 SR260 remote.
